Commonly Forgotten Items For A Camping Trip

Camping is fun and adventurous. For most of us, camping is an opportunity to unwind, unplug, and relax. If you want to get some rest, there is plenty of camping accessories that can help make your outdoor experience more manageable.

In fact, anyone who has been camping will no doubt have experienced that confusing moment where you find yourself needing the particular thing that you either forgot to put into your backpack — or never even thought about packing.

Even experienced campers can forget something important, especially when they are going on a family camping trip and have to worry about getting their whole family ready to go.

The next time you are making a camping list, be sure to add the following items (which are, by the way, far too easy to forget):

  1. Portable water filter

While camping, you should always bring fresh water. But in the case that something unforeseen happens, it is a good idea to bring a portable water filter. There are different types of portable filters: straws, bottles, and others. They have the ability to filter out 99.9% of every contaminant from any water source.

  1. Batteries

Experienced campers always pack a flashlight to ensure they have a source of light. Do not forget to check the batteries and pack a couple of extra batteries before you leave.

  1. Duct tape

There are so many times when a roll of duct tape could come in handy. It has a million uses in a camp. It can secure table cloth in a windy day, patch tent tears, and so much more.

  1. First aid kit

A first aid kit is a crucial accessory, whether you are wild camping or in the middle of a campsite with outstanding facilities. You never know when you need a band-aid, paracetamol, or anti-itch lotion.
